NHC - QUAFF

The National Homebrew Competition 1st round just published there results and it looks like my homebrew club did well, by winning a combined 25 medals. Pretty good showing and by far the best club showing in the region. Good luck in the second round guys.

1986...

I remember that year well. My family had just moved us kids into a new house in the city and us kids were adjusting to new schools. I also remember that year due to an unfortunate event, the Challenger rocket exploding shortly after takeoff. I was very young, but I do remember that my school made this event a big deal and ushered us into the cafeteria to watch the replays.

As the video states, laptops were just introduced into the marketplace, email had its first definition and I'm sure that beer existed in america....

Thus began my fascination with building & flying model rockets!

...yeah, not so much.

Well, it seems that the American holiday known as Super Bowl Sunday is upon us. Unfortunately, for me I will be hiding out at a local public library studying for four (yes 4) PT exams next week. I don't have time for silly games, although I do hope to fit in a beer or two... :)

My prediction: boring game, great half time show, even better commercials!

Beer a day...that's alot of beer.

He did it! Well, actually his liver* did it. His goal was to drink a beer each day for a year, well he succeeded, amazing. I'm happy for his liver. Read about it here: Beer-a-Day project**

If you like German beers and like brewing them, then you may be interested in this site I randomly came across Bavarian Brewing Museum.

It was an old german brewing book translated into different languages, plus some photos of old german brewing equipment.
